The Department of Art and Design and the Media Arts and Game Development Program in the College of Arts and Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a Lecturer for the department in Digital Animation. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in digital animation, advanced 3-D modeling and concept art related to game development. The position starts August 2019 with an anticipated one year appointment - there is a possibility for an additional year depending on availability of funds. Salary is commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MFA, masters degree in a related discipline OR 10 years tested work experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with motion capture
  • Prior college teaching experience

The Department of Art and Design and the Media Arts and Game Development Program in the College of Arts and Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a Lecturer who is an experienced designer with a focus on layout design for web and print, visual design for user experience, and general web design. We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate expertise in design for the web and print and teach a range of courses that include digital foundations. The position starts August 2019 with an anticipated one year appointment - there is a possibility for an additional year depending on availability of funds. Salary is commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations
  • Must demonstrate expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and other industry web development applications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous university-level teaching experience in all levels of Graphic Design
  • Able to communicate technical, formal, and conceptual topics related to publication layout design, digital media, web development, and working with content management systems
  • Experience in programming (HTML, CSS, Java Script) and to those with a strong record of professional activity
