Assistant Professor or Instructor of Game Design and Development
The Department of Interactive Media at Bradley at Bradley University seeks a dynamic individual to join our award-winning and nationally ranked game program beginning August 2018.
The department welcomes applications from candidates working in industry, academia, or both. The successful candidate will be able to teach students the game development process. Candidates with a background in game art, game programming, game design, game production, or game studies are all encouraged to apply. Professional experience and college-level teaching experience is preferred, but not required. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This position may be either a non-tenure-track or tenure-track appointment.
A non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of instructor requires a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree and substantial professional experience.
A tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor requires a terminal degree (MFA, PhD, etc.). ABDs and applicants demonstrating progress toward a terminal degree will be considered, but are only eligible for tenure-track and assistant professor status upon completion of the terminal degree.
