Department Head Position at Kansas State University R1 Research University

The Department of Art at Kansas State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Department Head. Ideally, the candidate will be able to assume the position by July 1, 2015. The successful applicant is expected to become a tenured faculty member of the Department of Art at Kansas State University and should have demonstrated a successful record in research, teaching and service; an appreciation of and achievement in scholarly/creative research activities; significant, national achievement in scholarship/creative work in a field of Art; values working with faculty and students from diverse backgrounds; and an appreciation for shared governance in a university setting. Other desirable qualifications include excellent interpersonal skills; knowledge of budgets; research excellence; and administrative and leadership experience. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
