Instructor of Level Design or Technical Design, Bradley University
The Department of Interactive Media seeks a dynamic individual to join our nationally ranked, award-winning game program beginning August 2018. We welcome application from candidates with three or more years of game industry experience who can teach level design and/or technical design. This position is a non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of Instructor and the Department of Interactive Media is a strong proponent of diversity.
The successful candidate will be passionate about gameplay and game development. The position requires being able to teach design and technical skills. Candidates should have industry experience in gameplay systems (e.g., player controls, game rules, scripting, weapons, AI) and/or game content (e.g., levels, cinematics, combat sequences). Additionally, candidates should have experience using level editors (e.g., UDK, Unreal Blueprints, Unity) and/or 3D content-authoring packages (e.g., Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D).
Candidates must be fluent in at least one computer language or visual scripting system (e.g., C#, C++)
A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and substantial professional experience is required. College-level teaching experience is preferred. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
