NMC Judson Morrissey Excellence in New Media Award *UPDATED

DUE 11:59PM on JANUARY 30, 2021

*Update: Given the unprecedented circumstances of this year, we have decoupled this scholarship from attending the CAA conference and extended the deadline for submission. Any applicants who applied prior to the change do not have to reapply and will still be fully considered for the updated call.

The New Media Caucus (NMC) invites applications for The Judson-Morrissey Excellence in New Media Award: Scholarship for Students of Color. The scholarship fund provides multiple unrestricted $500 awards for students of color working in the field of new media art (artist, practitioner, history and/or criticism). Awardees will be featured in an NMC Header/Footer Gallery exhibition in Spring 2021 and interviewed for a NMC Member Spotlight. This award is consistent with the vision of the NMC and our commitment to cultivating inclusivity within the new media arts community.

Applicants must provide a 600 word (maximum) letter of application, a short biography (100-200 words), and a work sample (artwork or writing). The application is due at 11:59pm on January 30, 2021 and can be found here: https://forms.gle/VREZz6ETPH11mpEh6
