Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor Position in Graphic and Industrial Design at NC State University

The Department of Graphic and Industrial Design at NC State University is seeking applicants for a tenure track, full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional skills in graphic design and research-oriented practice.

We invite applications from— and nominations of— individuals who can teach design and design research as appropriate for bachelor’s and master’s students. Teaching focus is within professionally oriented studios and seminars in graphic design, user experience, interaction design, and service design, working with students, other faculty, and external partners in studio-based projects. Departmental responsibilities are consistent with NC State University’s commitment to teaching, research, and service. Candidates must hold a minimum of an MFA degree or equivalent in a studio based discipline, or a PhD/Doctorate degree in visual communication, interaction design, design theory, or other areas related to the concerns of graphic design study.
