Two year Visiting Assistant Professor of Art/ New Media, Kenyon College
Kenyon College announces a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position for an Artist for whom New Media serves as a major component of his/her artistic focus. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in digital image manipulation, video and interactive installation practices, and knowledge of physical computing or creative coding processes. Expertise in other areas of emerging media are valued but not required. As a liberal arts college, interdisciplinary work is a natural aspect of our liberal arts focus. Proficiency in Adobe Suite and other software needed for teaching is expected. Strong teaching skills and a knowledge of contemporary issues in media arts, art history and criticism are expected. Teaching experience at the college level, an MFA degree, and exhibition record at the time of the appointment are required. Responsibilities include teaching five studio courses per year at all undergraduate levels. Review of applications will begin April 5. Skype interviews will be scheduled shortly thereafter.
