Visiting Assistant Professor, Art + Design – Northeastern University

This is a one-year appointment with the possibility for renewal after one year. The preferred candidate for this position is a practicing studio artist with knowledge of the visual principles of art and design, with a focus on 2-dimensional works. Experience with hybrid approaches to studio course instruction is preferred. Candidates should show commitment to entry level and mid-level fundamentals coursework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Color and Composition, Observational Drawing, and/or Conceptual Drawing. The course load will be 3 courses per semester with the opportunity to teach in the summer for extra compensation. Candidates should be open to the possibility of working with the department heads on delivering coursework in a hybrid learning format.
