CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS:
NMC Showcase during CAA 2024 (Online)

The annual New Media Caucus Showcase will be held during CAA 2024’s virtual segment via an online platform, on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 8:00-9:30 pm EST. Submissions are being accepted until 11:59 pm EST on Friday, December 15th, 2023.

The NMC showcase is a series of rapid-fire, 6-minute presentations by NMC members. It has proven to be an excellent forum to get to know the work of other new media artists and scholars in a lively atmosphere. Several spots are reserved for graduate students currently enrolled in MFA or Ph.D. programs. Due to the short presentation slots, presenters may only present one work, rather than a retrospective of their careers.

Presentations will be chosen by application. We ask you to submit a brief description of the project you will present, along with a relevant URL to work samples. We also ask you to submit a brief statement outlining how your work addresses issues of diversity and relates to the NMC diversity statement (see below).

Selected participants will be required to become NMC Members through the NMC’s Pay-What-You-Can membership program. No one will be turned away for lack of funding.

This event is free and open to the public. No CAA registration is required.

HOW TO APPLY

Presenters are chosen by application. Only members that have not participated in the showcase in the past three years are eligible.
