Eskenazi School of Art Architecture + Design at Indiana University Bloomington is seeking applicants for a Full Time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to teach undergraduate and graduate digital art courses with an emphasis on animation to begin August 1, 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to new areas of curriculum development and program expansions within the school. Teaching responsibilities may include 2D and 3D animation, digital imaging, or related digital art topics within a visual art context. We strongly encourage applicants with scholarly activities related to animation, digital games, or immersive media to apply.

Responsibilities include teaching five courses during the academic year, maintaining professional and academic expertise, assisting with digital art studio management, and providing service as needed by the area and school.

All qualified candidates must have an MFA or equivalent terminal degree by the start date of employment.

Preferred qualifications include three years of teaching experience beyond the MFA or equivalent industry experience. We are especially seeking candidates with technical expertise in drawing or digital drawing; 3D modeling and rigging; character development; and visual effects.

We seek candidates who thrive in collaborative environments and a strong candidate will have experience working successfully with students, faculty, and administrators. They will demonstrate the values we cultivate in our students: to be curious, collaborative, and adaptable in an ever changing, global art community.
